The professional experience of our senior partners originates from well-known Scandinavian and international executive recruitment, assessment and board advisory firms.

In addition, the partners have relevant international professional experience, gained from having lived and worked in those countries which Nordic region companies typically regard as their major markets.

 

OLE DAMSGAARD

Prior to joining Adaptum Partners, Ole headed a business psychology advisory firm specializing in management assessment and recruitment of general managers, leaders and specialists for both large, medium and smaller sized companies.

Ole has designed and facilitated many executive assessments to assist top-management develop their leadership teams and spot high potential executives within their organisations in connection with re-organisations and promotions. He has worked for clients within the construction, electronics, IT, media, financial services and advisory/professional service sectors as well as state controlled public service organisations.

Previously, Ole worked for Kjaer & Kjerulf, The Danish Centre for Leadership, and for Aston Promentor. In all three positions he dealt extensively with psychometric testing and executive recruitment assignments in Denmark, Scandinavia and the U.K. He is certified in most of the major psychological assessment and test systems and is a member of the Danish Psychological Association and its chapter for organisational psychology.

He started his career as a researcher in psychology at Yale University in the U.S. Ole is an authorized psychologist and holds a master’s degree in psychology from Copenhagen University, as well as a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Yale University in the U.S.

 

STEEN ERNLAND

Prior to co-founding Adaptum Partners, Steen was a Director in the Copenhagen offices of Korn Ferry and Russell Reynolds Associates. As a Managing Director, he set up and headed Korn Ferry’s Danish offices from year 2006.

Steen has gained international advisory and leadership experience at Accenture as well as a Bain & Company spin-off. He has lived and worked in the UK, the USA, France, Singapore, China, India and South Africa. Additionally, Steen is co-author of ‘The Active Board’ (Den Aktive Bestyrelse), a book about company board effectiveness published by Gyldendal, a leading Scandinavian publishing house.

He has completed senior-level executive search and evaluation assignments for a wide range of local, Nordic and multinational companies. He has recruited and evaluated CEOs, CFOs, functional area heads and board members. Steen is certified in the major executive assessment and test systems and has acted as chairman/board member for Danish companies controlled by equity and venture capital fund investors.

Steen started his career in Scandinavia working for a global industrial Chemicals / Pharmaceuticals group. He holds a MBA from IMD business school in Switzerland and a master’s degree from Copenhagen School of Economics/Oregon State University. Currently, he is chairman of the IMD Alumni Club in Denmark.

 

FREDRIK ROXENIUS

Prior to joining Adaptum Partners, Fredrik was a Partner in the Malmo/Swedish offices of Amrop where he worked on local and international assignments to assist clients in identifying leaders for what’s next in their Scandinavian, European, US, Asian and African operations.

Fredrik has more than 20 years of experience as an advisor on leadership issues. He gained 12 years of executive search and assessment experience at Amrop working within a variety of sectors such as Life Sciences, Industrial, Construction/Real Estate and Consumer Goods/Retailing. Clients include mid-sized and larger companies with various ownership structures including family, private equity and public quoted companies.

He works as an executive search generalist as well as an assessment specialist. He has assisted American, European and Chinese companies with assignments from C-level positions/board members to senior specialists. Fredrik also brings experience from the client’s perspective, having been seconded to a US-based B2B company and having worked as a HR-Consultant at A.P. Moller–Maersk, the global shipping company headquartered in Copenhagen.

He holds a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Gothenburg and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in the U.S. as well as a diploma in electrical engineering from Sweden.
